PRESS RELEASE

PARIS, FRANCE. March 26, 2025 – From April 24 to 26, 2025, the Grand Palais in Paris will become the epicenter of ecological and social transition. Ten years after the Paris Agreement and a few months before COP30, ChangeNOW 2025 will gather change leaders, entrepreneurs, government members, committed companies, visionary scientists, and engaged citizens to accelerate the implementation of concrete solutions for the planet. Discover the full program.

With 40,000 participants, 1,000 high-impact solutions, 10,000 businesses, 1,200 investors, and 140 countries represented, ChangeNOW is the largest global event dedicated to solutions for the planet. Action-oriented, this World Expo will take place at the Grand Palais, turning Paris into a global showcase for transition and a genuine catalyst for ecological and social change.

The key event marking 10 years of the Paris Agreement

ChangeNOW 2025 will open with a significant moment: a dedicated conference marking the 10 years of the Paris Agreement. Ten years after this founding commitment, this highlight will recall the historical significance of the Agreement, assess collective progress, and above all reaffirm the urgency of unwavering mobilization. It will set the tone for the entire expo: it is time to translate commitments into concrete, scalable actions.

On this occasion, ChangeNOW will bring together several key figures from the Agreement: Laurent Fabius, former President of COP21; Ana Toni, Executive Director of COP30; Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland; Patricia Espinosa, former Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC. Their presence will recall the initial ambition of 2015 while calling for a new phase of global cooperation and concrete action.

This special edition will also host the first official event of the French government marking the 10-year anniversary of the Paris Agreement: a public, high-level ministerial conference on Article 6 of COP21 and a Pledge for Climate Action.

Led by Agnès Pannier-Runacher, French Minister for the Ecological Transition, this decisive moment will bring together many international ministers and leaders to develop the carbon market and ensure ambitious climate financing.

The objective is clear: triple funding for developing countries, with a target of $300 million annually by 2035, and mobilize over $1.3 trillion from all sources to accelerate the transition. The private sector will play a central role in this dynamic alongside governments and international organizations.

A springboard towards the United Nations Ocean Conference

A few weeks before the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC), ChangeNOW 2025 will be a true platform for dialogue on maritime issues. Scientists, explorers, and policymakers will discuss major international priorities such as protecting 30% of oceans by 2030, regulating seabed mining, as well as scientific advancements in unexplored marine ecosystems.

Iconic figures in ocean preservation, such as Olivier Poivre d’Arvor (Ambassador for the Poles and Maritime Issues), Fabien Cousteau (explorer and oceanographer), and Captain Paul Watson (founder of Sea Shepherd), will share their visions and commitments for the future of oceans and coastlines.

ChangeNOW creates the exhibition "The Odyssey of Water," open to all during the 3-day event

New this year: from April 24 to 26, a 1,000 m² immersive exhibition on the Quays of the Seine river, open to everyone, will highlight sustainable solutions addressing maritime and river challenges. Conferences, demonstrations, and sensory experiences will shape this journey to educate and mobilize the public.

Transforming the economy to accelerate transition

10,000 businesses and 1,200 investors will gather at the Grand Palais, making ChangeNOW the largest gathering of economic actors committed to the ecological transition.

The transformation towards sustainable economic models is accelerating globally, driven particularly by impact startups. A powerful dynamic will emerge at ChangeNOW 2025, where early-stage startups will collectively seek more than €1.5 billion to develop and deploy their solutions.

Leaders of major groups such as Accor, Bouygues, Sopra Steria, Nexans, Henkel, and Saint-Gobain will share their strategies and best practices to reduce their environmental impact.

Discussions will focus on how to rethink economic models, integrate sustainable solutions, explore carbon market developments, and leverage artificial intelligence for environmental purposes.

Large-scale citizen mobilization

On Saturday, April 26, ChangeNOW will open to the general public with a day entirely dedicated to citizen engagement. The goal is to equip everyone with tools to take concrete action in support of this transition.

Throughout the day, visitors will participate in interactive workshops, inspiring conferences, and debates to exchange ideas and reflect on actionable solutions. The Job Fair, organized in partnership with France Travail, will offer 600 job opportunities, gathering 150 recruiters and nearly 5,000 candidates interested in professionally engaging in the transition.

Among the highlights, the Youth Parliament will give voice to new generations and their aspirations for a sustainable future. This event will gather 150 young people presenting concrete proposals for a ‘welfare economy’ – an economic model that prioritizes human well-being, quality of life, and social welfare. It will be subject to public vote and transmitted to Felipe Paullier, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs.

The conference “Awakening Democracy” will bring together Marc Levy, author and defender of democracy and human rights, and European Parliament member Raphaël Glucksmann, who will exchange views on threats to our democracies and the importance of citizen engagement.

To close the day, Oscar-winning actress and activist Natalie Portman will speak during a significant moment of gathering, inspiration, unity, and collective momentum, marking the conclusion of this exceptional edition.

A World Expo of solutions for the planet

In an exceptional setting, ChangeNOW 2025 will transform the Grand Palais into a global showcase for innovations in ecological transition. The Official ChangeNOW 2025 Selection will gather 1,000 concrete solutions from 58 countries covering key sectors such as energy, regenerative agriculture, circular economy, sustainable mobility, biodiversity, and more.

Among them, 380 will exhibit onsite and 130 will pitch to investors and decision-makers. Solutions span all development stages, from prototypes to rapidly expanding companies, with funding needs ranging from grants to Series C fundraising.

Among featured solutions: Soilytix (intelligent soil analysis to improve agricultural yields), Yuka (consumer application helping millions make better food and other consumer choices), Justdiggit (large-scale restoration of degraded lands in Africa), Novobiom (soil bioremediation using fungi), Flint Paper Battery (recyclable paper-based batteries as a sustainable alternative to rare metals), and Hylight (hydrogen airships reducing carbon footprint in industrial monitoring).
